Every year National Hispanic Heritage Month takes place from September 15 to October 15 to celebrate the histories and cultures of American citizens' ancestors from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. National Hispanic Heritage Week was first signed into law in 1968 and then later extended to be one month signed into law in 1988.
